It's been a very long road.

Years and years.

I never thought I could actually enjoy the way I looked. I never thought I could look in the mirror and not be horrified or disgusted by the way I looked.

Today I took the nicest picture of myself I think I've ever taken. Disgust was replaced by euphoria and tears of joy.

I will never stop fighting for this joy. They can pry it from me with a crowbar.

Hormones work.
Trans joy is real.
It gets better.
Be yourself.

Back in the day when twitter wasn't X I made an account trying to work out my acceptance of being trans. A lovely trans woman named Blue helped me so much.
I lost touch with her during the mass trans migration.
But I often think of her.
I really hope she's flourishing & happy.
I miss my first trans sister very much.

As I'm nearing the nifty ( hopefully ) fifties I'm still working out who I am.
It's no bad thing.
Didn't comprehend at the time I accepted myself as trans it would make me question everything else about social conditioning on my life and personality.
I won't dwell on the time lost.
I'm excited to learn more about myself and where it will take me.
