Despite massive protests, Trans Bill gets President’s assent, becomes law
Protesters had been asking for the Bill to be sent back to the Parliament, to be looked at by a select committee and modified to reflect the concerns of the transgender communities.
We stand with the transgender community and will be looking at issues with the proposed Transgender Persons Rights Bill (2019)
Trans rights are human rights.

Amish Devgan was once called a BJP “pimp” by Rajeev Tyagi of the Congress, on the former’s live TV show.
Today, on Devgan’s show, Sambit Patra of the BJP said, “मैं सोनिया गांधी के सामने झुकने वाला हिजड़ा नहीं हूँ (I’m not a eunuch who would bow before Sonia Gandhi).”
This classy statement comes on a day when the Rajya Sabha passed the Transgenders Bill.
