There's not much point in having solar when it's nothing compared to your emissions, which are increasing.
Methane, Australia vs New Zealand c/o @[email protected]
Think you have #toomanycows with 5 million cattle? Try 29 million, and look where that gets you.

Review quietly launched into health impacts of nitrate

New Zealand has quietly launched a review into the health impacts of nitrate in drinking water, RNZ has learned. It follows moves by Denmark to drastically lower nitrate limits, based on studies linking it to cancer risk. Keiller MacDuff reports.

“Animal welfare is not the only issue. Nearly 25% of Denmark’s landmass is used to produce feed for pigs, according to an Aarhus University study – and as a result, toxic pesticide residues are present in 56% of drinking water catchment points.” Sound familiar? #TooManyCows

Where @[email protected] are these dedicated truthful climate reporters of yours? MIA. You don't have a problem with a single person owning over 23 million acres for industrial agriculture destined for fossil fuelled export? Why is that? #agriculture #Australia #toomanycows

If you have a problem with #toomanycows in New Zealand, why don't you have the same problem in Australia @[email protected] @[email protected] ? It's not like cattle owners aren't causing damage here, yet you're silent. How is native birds for your burgers ok by you @[email protected]? #AusPol #NZPol

@daverino.bsky.social Of course, there's no mention in *any* of Australia's media or The Greens, or 150+ NGOs about Fonterra or industrial agriculture. Because AU = 29 million cattle, NZ = 6 million or so, reckon Australia might have a problem like New Zealand? #TooManyCows #nzpol #AusPol #climate

A new Danish study has linked elevated levels of nitrate in drinking water to an increased risk of stomach cancer. More reason to lower New Zealand’s nitrate limits, following studies that have linked low-level nitrate to risks of bowel cancer, dementia, and pre-term birth. #TooManyCows #Health
