GTL Gemini Tinylog Reader/Editor

I've forked bacardi55's Gemini Tinylog Reader/Editor "GTL", because it seems he doesn't reliably work on his Gemini projects anymore. There were open patches for over 7 month without being merged so I did the fork, especially because I use GTL myself and like it very much. I've already fixed a few bugs and added a few features, so bookmarks are now finally usable (see the README.md about this) and preformatted text is now displayed reasonably.

You can build from the sources in Golang to get the most recent patches, cloning my Codeberg.org repository:

https://codeberg.org/fab/gtl

If you don't want to mess around with Golang and don't want to build the sources yourself, you can directly download some prebuilt binaries, which are built for Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD and OpenBSD, each for the x86_64 (amd64) and arm64 architectures. I try to make binary tag releases on a regular basis. Download Link:

https://codeberg.org/fab/gtl/releases

I hope for some people to test GTL and maybe give some feedback. I'm always open for ideas and problems. You can also send in Pull Requests if you find a bug or want to add a feature. If you have problems or find a bug you can use the Codeberg issue tracker for GTL:

I believe the #gemini #tinylog aggregator is now behaving better. Good temporary step before the RFC update is finalized :-)

@proedie You may be inspired by my „Personal Soap Opera #Phlog”. The idea is similar to #tinylog, but it’s #Gopher nomenclature rather than #GeminiProtocol one.

If you follow gemini tinylogs with the 'gtl' client from @bacardi55 you probably have my old tinylog url in your 'subs' file in the gtl config dir. I moved my domain from foobucket.xyz to redterminal.org.

So if you're interested in getting tinylog updates from me you need to add the new url:

Gemini Proxy

A Gemini to HTTP proxy for the WWW

I’m looking at #YarnSocial (https://yarn.social) thread at:
https://social.wake.st/@liaizon/110330944764446712
and I started thinking about cooperating #Twtxt and #Gemini #Tinylog formats. They have the same data structure, the difference is the notation only. So Yarn could easily translate the both notations into one ecosystem. Yarn docs is aware and has mentioned small net protocol in specification for eg.:
https://dev.twtxt.net/doc/twthashextension.html
Yarn.social - The decentralised social micro-blogging platform that actually respects your privacy

Yarn.social is a decentralised self-hosted social media based on the Twtxt format that has a privacy-first focus. There are no ads, no tracking, and no personal information is ever collected or stored.

Someone created a convention for writing "blogs" in #GeminiProtocol #gemtext

To make "blogging" in Gemini gemtext more machine-legible.

Attempt for an RFC for the tinylog format in the gemini space.

@hex Many people are setting new #gemini capsules, #gemlog or #tinylog entries everyday. Gemini is getting bigger, although it's "the small web". :-)
Look at one of aggregators like Cosmos, Antenna or GTL.
I try to put earlier every #Gemini related toots on the #Tinylog. And there are some Gemini topics which are mentioned only on Tinylog.

Last entry on Tinylog is accessible also on #Finger.
