I got a few gripes with Synder's latest piece, but in particular;

"Let us consider, for the sake of argument, that Both-Sidesism might be a dualist cult. Let us place its beliefs and practices in the context of the history of religion, and see what happens.

...In Daoism we find something of all of the above in the notion of yin-yang..."

Wisdom from #TimothySynder, esp. towards the end where he advises #media on how to cover #Trump. 1. Make sure people know his rallies begin with honoring #January6 criminals; make sure people know his rallies encourage overthrowing the system through violence; and don't lend legitimacy to #fascists (he doesn't use that word in this clip) by engaging in a #bothsides framework because doing so gives credence to #Trump's positions & leads to the end of #democracy.
