My oldest put together this web comic, and it blew me away. As a parent, seeing the things your children make is always wonderful, but these panels spoke to me on a deep level, esp. with the world being what it is--

that feeling of wanting to go back to a more innocent time, knowing that the veil between now and then is more permeable than it first might seem; strange to see art like this from him, which resonated so deeply; to see him not just as my kid, but as a fellow traveler in this sometimes scary world.

I used to know everything about him, but the waters run deep now, and are more beautiful and complex than I could have imagined.

Our children deserve a better world than the one we're giving them; we deserved a better world.

MFW I find an interesting project and want to see if it's still active so I check their git repo and am glad that the last commit was recent-ish... until I realise that it says 2019... which was half a decade ago 🫠
