Once in younger social media days I was thinking of going to a ballgame with a then online-only acquaintance and I was hesitant but when I learned Tim Wakefield was her favorite player I knew she was good people.

We've lost a lot of people in the public eye who have affected me deeply - Sinead O'Connor comes to mind, that will hurt forever - but Wake feels like family. 💔
