Just reading this wikipedia page today because of a feels post on #tildetown. So interesting to hear about these people from thousands of years ago, worshipping gods, building amazing structures... I need to read a book on this stuff.

okay - some slotted time to just browse and begin to do some downtime things. (sort of)
- joined #tildeTown which is a "community that exists on a linux server."
First time using SSH and CMDER (windows) // terminal emulator

The setup was easy, minor hic-up on my part on permissions and access, but I'm able to browse message boards through terminal which is super cool!

Also doing more writing and thoughts on small internet / platform fatigue.

Oh, and probably relocating states > Sydney.

I really want to make a community work. I know the 2 major pubnix communities that aren't #sdf are #tildetown and #tildeverse . I suppose it's time to quiz the ops for those :D . I also want to self-host it, and there is a person who did or still does self-host a pubnix community... on a raspberry pi zero. If you can have a community on that, surely 8 GB is enough for anyone lol.

Thinking of doing a community project with #freebsd . I've tried to do it before, but didn't have enough RAM really. Now I have a NUC with 8 GB of RAM. I think a small community would be ok to try for that in the vein of #tildetown . I still need to think up the theme, presentation and so on and so forth.
