Dustin Kiyeon Chang#TheWildPearTree is yet another #NuriBilgeCeylan ‘s leisurely paced, literary filmic experience. It starts out slowly & you don't know where it's leading. It’s basically a post-college blues movie where the young protagonist is excessively downtrodden and cynical. It provides some visual showstoppers in beautiful rural Turkey setting. Watching it feels like, as always with Celyan's films, reading a dense Russian novel, filled w/ rich characters & delicious philosophical musings. #turkishcinema
