Agi: Tre giorni di funerali per Alì Khamenei, attesi in Iran 20 milioni di persone

AGI - Teheran si sta preparando ad accogliere tra 15 e 20 milioni di persone per il solenne funerale dell'ayatollah Ali Khamenei, ucciso in un bombardamento delle forze americane e israeliane il primo giorno della guerra di Ramadan, il 28 febbraio. A quanto riferiscono i media iraniani, si sta lavorando a una cerimonia pubblica della durata di tre giorni per l'imam "martire".
Cortei funebri si terranno in tre città: Teheran, Qom e Mashhad. Le esequie nella capitale dureranno almeno 24 ore e sono attese "oltre 15-20 milioni di persone", ha spiegato la tv statale.

Il 28 febbraio scorso obiettivi in Iran furono sottoposti a una massiccia serie di attacchi missilistici su larga scala di Usa e Israele come parte delle operazioni denominate "Epic Fury" e "Roaring Lion". Quel giorno fonti israeliane affermarono che il corpo di Khamenei era stato trovato tra le macerie. La Tv di Stato iraniana soltanto il giorno dopo confermò che la Guida Suprema era stata uccisa. Il 2 marzo morì anche sua moglie, ferita nell'attacco del 28 febbraio. L'8 marzo l'Assemblea degli Esperti nominò il figlio Mojtabā Khamenei come successore designato alla carica di Guida Suprema.

AGI - Tehran is preparing to welcome between 15 and 20 million people for the solemn funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, killed in a bombing by American and Israeli forces on the first day of the Ramadan war, February 28th. According to Iranian media, a three-day public ceremony is being organized for the “martyr” imam.

Funeral processions will take place in three cities: Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad. The funeral in the capital is expected to last at least 24 hours and “more than 15-20 million people” are expected to attend, according to the state television.

The Last Hours of Khamenei

On February 28th, targets in Iran were subjected to a massive series of missile attacks by the US and Israel as part of operations named “Epic Fury” and “Roaring Lion”. On that day, Israeli sources said that Khamenei’s body was found among the rubble. The State TV of Iran only confirmed the day after that the Supreme Leader had been killed. On March 2nd, his wife also died, wounded in the February 28th attack. On March 8th, the Assembly of Experts appointed his son, Mojtaba Khamenei, as the designated successor to the post of Supreme Leader.
