Technically a re-skin of a game called Meikyuu Hunter G, The Real Ghostbusters is a vertical scrolling shoot 'em up, based loosely on the cartoon series.
Buster Jones just wasn't as good of a Winston as Arsinio Hall was.
Sharp improvement in production values, but Slimer now plays a leading role despite being a total Elmo. This is the "Slimer! and the Real Ghostbusters" era, so I'm expecting Slimer to be extra obnoxious.

Ray inherits a joke shop from his late uncle. Armed with a big supply of practical jokes, Ray quickly becomes a pest to his fellow Ghostbusters. But unknown to Ray, two Imps that thrive on pranks were released when he took possession of the store.
Well, *that's* an episode title that got past the radar!
A boy named Lee goes to the Ghostbusters for help when his brother, Alec, begins acting strangely and doing bad things. When the guys decide to investigate, Egon learns a Grundel is making Alec do bad things and if something is not done soon, he will mutate into one.
#Furry takeover episode!! I wonder if this is where #RickAndMorty got the #DogWorld idea from...
As a professor's exotic treasures are unloaded on the harbour, a 3,000-year-old statue is accidentally dropped, releasing an ancient animal demon into New York City. The creature has the power to give all the animals in the city the ability to talk and interact just like humans and it isn't long before he's using them in his evil plan to take over the world.
