The poem The Low Road by Marge Piercy is well worth reading at any time but perhaps especially now. 🙂

It expands on your comment very well -- and reminds us that resistance is a broad path (rather than the singular notion of sending kids to die in the meat-grinder of hot war).

February 27, 1993: The #DrexelUniversity Campus Activities Board sponsors a triple-bill concert of #VelocityGirl, #TheLowRoad, and #NastyNas. About 80 people attended. I was one of them.

I was there primarily to see Velocity Girl (friends), but I was also a big fan of The Low Road. Nasty Nas performed for about 10 minutes.

31 years later, one of those acts is regarded as one of the greatest of all time in their genre. Guess which.
