Watching *The Invisible Ray* with Karloff and Legosi and I wonder how much of the opening scenes with Frances Drake inspired Princess Leia in the first Star Wars.

The rough white gown and its shape. The lack of a bra. Drake's hairstyle feels like a 1930's variant of the hair buns.

Watched #Svengoolie tonight. I've never seen #TheInvisibleRay before, but it was good! Karloff and Lugosi are both great in it. Frances Drake was good too, and hot to boot. I like the similarities in costume to Leia.
