I would like anyone to listen to the #TheGourds on hiatus for a decade. It would best be described as roots music. They were pretty much the house band of #AustinTX circa 2005. #kevrussell went on to shine with #shinyribs. Max Johnston is the son of Dollar Bill Johnston and the brother of Michelle Shocked. Jimmy Smith knows what the monkey said, Claude Bernard on accordion, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, Charlie Llewellin was followed by Keith Langford on drums as the glue.
