Trying to make my postings here as little about #TheBirdPlace as possible, but #musk apparently went on a rant today declaring he and he alone will decide who is on #Twitter and what content is acceptable.
It’s worth trying to disabuse anyone you know that #Twitter is worth “fighting for.” Even when it was a publicly traded company it could make its own rules but now it’s literally the plaything of a single private owner. No one, literally NO ONE has a say.

The #twexodus’s resulting chaos, delays, and flashcrowd-like effect on #mastodon made me think of the first episodes of Battlestar Galactica where everyone’s trying to get on any ship they can find to escape the #Cylons, no-one knows what they’re doing, or if they can find their friends/family…
Here, however, the vibe is pretty hopeful, I’m happy to chill and let things settle down. The higher signal to noise ratio is *so* much nicer than #TheBirdPlace… I can feel my blood pressure coming down.
Seems that wealth can’t buy sense - buying a successful social media platform and then destroying it for no purpose doesn’t make you a good businessman.
