The Houston Police Department is working to identify family members of 89 people whose cremated remains were taken from Richardson Mortuary, which was ordered to be closed earlier this month by the Texas Funeral Service Commission because of the conditions inside the business. The bodies of 13 other deceased people have been transferred to other funeral homes.

A video posted on social media showed multiple bodies barely covered with a blanket or plastic wrap while in an open room with no air conditioning.
