There is a variety of
#marinated boiled
#egg here called
#卤蛋 (lǔdàn), related to the
#茶蛋 (
#TeaEgg), but with a slightly different marinade. They're commonly sold as street food (like tea eggs), or cut up into noodle dishes, and the like.
These are not those eggs, though they pass as such on quick glance-over.
