It's... odd what parallels are emerging between #TaskmasterS19 and season 4 of #TaskmasterAU . (They use "season" there too, don't @ me!)
Just look at the most messed up prize offered in today's episode (6). 😬
Made a #Taskmaster quote thingie. Actually from #TaskmasterAU ...No particular reason, those who've been watching #TaskmasterS19 .😆
To be clear, the image was randomly selected over the course of this latest season, which just ended, so no hints which task he's talking about.
So the third season of #TaskmasterAU started airing tonight, but this was filmed as season 2 back in July 2023 (I was in the audience for this episode).
The pickup to intro this as season 3 is pretty good, I assume that could have been filmed even last week when season 4 did its studio recordings.
But then I looked back at the intro to season 2 and that is where there is a continuity error, I think this is the original season 2 intro spliced in. For the first few shots Tom has a pocket square and his chair has two egg shapes on either side of his head (as for season 3). Then for the next shot (and remainder of season 2) there is no pocket square and those shapes are now more like bones...
(yes, I have given this too much thought)
NEGATIVE POINTS. Ye Gods.
It's Thursday! And that means a new episode of #TaskmasterUK! They're up to the penultimate episode, but wait, I just found out a new series of #TaskmasterAU has started! I won't be able to watch either properly until later, sadly.
I recognized Wil Anderson ("Gruen"), and Josh Thomas. Lloyd Langford (married to Anne, another contestant?!) was familiar to me, but I hadn't seen him in anything since "Ask Rhod Gilbert". Looking forward to getting to know Jenny Tian and Anne Edmonds!
