Current status on our #UK #visa process is it seems there's some bug or disconnect between the status on the #TLSContact website and the #HomeOffice. I've been watching the status being stuck between appointment attended and data passed to the Home Office for over a week now...
Turns out I'm not the only one: https://www.reddit.com/r/ukvisa/comments/1g6u1qk/no_email_from_ukvcas_after_biometric_appointment/
It seems the only thing to do is "just wait".
Fun fun.
(Shouldn't be any issue... but... it's kinda vital life stuff so "bugs" like this are deeply unsettling.)
Weird conditions from #TLScontact on the documentation you bring in if you're using an "assisted service":
* all documents must be clear copies of the originals in A4 format
* original documents will not be accepted
I bet that'll catch a lot of people out. I guess they don't want to be responsible for what might happen feeding someone's original document into an automated scanner. But what is the use of the "assist" if you need to pre-photocopy all your documents?!
OK, it seems you now can switch to the new #TLScontact option for booking from 17th October onwards and they do have loads of free slots available. Just gotta re-upload all the required documentation to this new site. To get to the TLSContact booking find your original email to log back into the gov.uk visa application and select "Book appointment".
