Xie Lian knows how the day will end. Hua Cheng doesn't know yet, but he will as soon as he arrives.

There's hardly a gap between his array message and his husband's arrival.
Xie Lian hides his smile when Hua Cheng's mouth is open, ready to greet him or tease him, and only falls further open instead of forming whatever the planned words were.
Xie Lian never specified he wanted to spar with Hua Cheng after all.
He nods at the clone, shirtless just as he is, and he springs into action.

"That's why you're going to go visit him instead of me," Yin Yu says, finally crushing his clone's resistance. "Now, before he bothers me again."
The clone marches out the door, clearly dreading its fate.
