Thinking about Quanyin as trans women

For Quan Yizhen, it seems so easy. She just learns that some people are trans, goes "that's me!", learns to shapeshift, and fistfights any believers who misgender her.

Yin Yu is jealous, because for her there are obstacles that feel insurmountable: internalized transphobia, feeling like she's copying Quan Yizhen, feeling like she's copying *Hua Cheng* with his occasional shapeshifting, having an identity already as Hua Cheng's right hand man (what if Ghost City respected her less if she transitioned and that caused problems?), only having borrowed spiritual power, etc. etc.
