So, I did five production level projects with affinity 2 running on my #t480 over wine using fedora 43.

Designer and Photo do run without crashes (I didn't had any). But there are sometimes gliches and some actions – like applying a mask on a layer group – might take half a minute.

My conclusion is that this setup is sadly not reliable enough to do things professionally with it.

I had the PS3 controllers laying around the other day and tried painting them just for fun with the #thinkpad #t480 . Turns out it‘s a no brainer and works out of the box like you do on the PS3.

Now I need a nice little game to play. Any ideas for a fun little adventure or racing game?

Successfully updated my ThinkPad T480 to FreeBSD 15.1-RC1

First impression: Solid release!

- WiFi (Intel AX210) stable on 5 GHz (802.11AC) with expected WAN speed.
- Graphics, Audio, USB-C Dock all working fine.
- Factorio Space-Age running perfectly smooth.

All running super well and without unexpected issues :-) Yay!

I bought a #thinkpad #t480. Probably at the right time, as these are sinking to the bottom of the stocks kept by the big brand refurbish shops. I always wonder what happens to these after the big shops decide they are not worth the hassle.

Ya tengo funcionando el #T480 con #archlinux, instalada la VM para el diagnosito de los coches y funcionando multiecuscan, a ver si me pongo con el VAGCom y lo dejo operativo.

Por fin tengo un #thinkpad, años con las ganas y hoy me ha llegado el #t480 comprado en #ecoportatil. Tienda súper recomendada, envío muy rápido y todo el proceso muy sencillo.

Ahora, lo primero que le hago es instalarle #archlinux, manos a la obra!

Sometimes the alignment is just off a bit. Taking it apart is a good first step. Also something could be sticking up and physically blocking the bottom cover from fully closing.

Also, I usually click in the front of the laptop, after putting the bottom cover at a slight angle, front first. Then click in the rest of the bottom cover, back last.
