Here's a sobering highlight from my #sustainwhat chat on the booming krill fishery in #Antarctic seas now dense with whales. In 2021, several whales died in nets set for vast blooms of these tiny crustaceans bound for omega-3 oils and salmon farms.

What looks like artillery fire around these giant krill fishing vessels in Antarctic waters is actually a flurry of spouts from a giant assemblage of fin whales feeding on the same bounty.
