Per fire management, the fire had no, to little growth overnight. Firefighters have increased their containment number to 40%. We will receive an updated fire size after an multi-mission flight conducts a flyover. There are 60 firefighters working on the fire this morning. Winds are forecast to remain light through the daytime, which should help with firefighting efforts. #SunshineWildlandFire
No new big updates on the #SunshineWildlandFire. Evacuation zones haven't changed from the overnight period.
It took until about 9pm for the winds to die down according to the weather station at the NCAR Mesa Lab. Winds are generally from the northwest between 5–10 mph.
The aviation forecast for Rocky Mountain Metro indicates winds will be at about that level most of the day, so that should hopefully allow for better containment. A 4-hour period tomorrow is marked for increased wind activity.
#boulder county evacuations are still in place, fire containment sounds like it is still at 25% and 16 acres.

Boulder friends - were you able to stay informed abt #SunshineWildlandFire yesterday (and still now) here on mastodon?
it seems a lot of us went over to twitr to monitor Mitchell Byers' scanner reporting.
i appreciate Mitchell's work - truly - but he can't be the only one with an emergency scanner (is it an actual scanner or a service like https://www.broadcastify.com/ ?)
