full sunshine greets me
as another day starts late,
but I did sleep well
Crisp and clear today,
the sunshine dazzles our eyes
and flowers, surprise
Crisp and clear today,
the sunshine dazzles our eyes
and flowers, surprise
full sunshine greets me
as another day starts late,
but I did sleep well
A red cardinal
dancing on the thick green grass,
as rain dribbles down
#SmallPoems #SundayHaiku response
Like you, I did lawn work yesterday, knowing today would bring the rains. This one red cardinal is all fluttering over the place as I wrote this poem back to you. Hard not to get William Carlos Williams in the head, with this bird replacing his wheelbarrow and the grass, his chickens. But the rain is still there.
lawn mowed yesterday
looks like a wise decision
rain falling today
Windows, wide open;
the Spring morning has spoken -
this coolness won't last
#SmallPoems #SundayHaiku response
rollercoaster temps
mark this time of the year, and
choosing clothes is hard
And then there was green:
Trees, lawns and the in-between
where small flowers bloom
#SmallPoems #SundayHaiku response
yesterday's rain, gone
seems like the lawn is taller
maybe mow today
Celtics' hangover -
Tatum-less team inches in,
but not with rhythm
#SundayHaiku response (sort of)
everything bagels,
donuts, hot, creamy coffee,
a great Sunday start.
