Gov #GretchenWhitmer signed bills to combat #GunViolence Thurs, 2 mos after a #MassShooting on the campus of #MSU left 3 students dead & 5 injured.

The proposals, which take effect next year, will expand #BackgroundCheck requirements for firearm purchases & institute new #StorageStandards for #guns kept in homes where #children are present.
