I'm not at all saying i'm "poor" (as in victim) but could agree on us (being you and me as in society) being extremely foolish and driven by egoistical, short term motives.
I am that old and still researching.
My greavance against your toots is that I could agree with you... but
1/ you direct your valuble energy at those that are fighting #ClimateChange and not at those that cause it. The depencecy on oil is knowingly fabricated.
I urge you to take a look at the YouTube clip "How Toronto Got Addicted to Cars" by NotJustBikes.
2/ you reproach the protesters of using oil themselves (I keep wondering how you know?) and that your solution is to #StopUsingOil. While you don't realise that you do too. Nowadays no one can. Everything you eat has been produced while using oil.
3/ Stop blaming consumer but start blaming the producers of oil. Years ago #BigOil started a campaign 'Carbon Footprint' and putting the culpability of future a #ClimateCrisis on the consumer. Demonstrated in the YT video
