Houston DMV employee accused of accepting bribes in alleged car title laundering scheme

The DMV worker, Carlisha Haywood, 41, has been charged with one count of bribery and two counts of tampering with a government record. Xavier Goodwin Washington, 28, also has been charged with two counts of tampering with a government record.

The vehicle allegedly struck a tree less than a minute after authorities began the pursuit early Thursday. Three of the six juveniles were pronounced dead on the scene with the remaining three currently in stable condition.

3 teens killed, 3 others hospitalized following chase by Harris County authorities

The identities of the occupants have not yet been released and the three surviving teenagers are in stable condition, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
