‘No plans’ for Ronda Rousey to be back in AEW - Lemmy.zip
>Ronda Rousey shocked everyone when she made her AEW debut at the Revolution
PPV, but there are no plans for her to come back anytime soon. > >However, just
weeks after her AEW appearance, several reports have emerged regarding her All
Elite status. Recently, our Bryan Alvarez confirmed that there are “no plans for
Ronda Rousey to be back anytime soon.” > >PWInsider also reported that she was
“not expected back” in AEW anytime soon. Her appearance at Revolution was
designed to promote her MMA comeback against Gina Carano, and she appeared in
support of Marina Shafir, who lost to Toni Storm. > >The report also explored
that since the Revolution, PPV was local for Rousey, and in the same place as
her fight against Gina Carano, it made sense for all involved to appear on the
PPV. Fightful Select had previously reported that Rousey had not yet signed a
contract with AEW. > >Rousey is scheduled to make her MMA return against Gina
Carano on May 16, 2026, under the banner of MVP (Most Valuable Promotions) at
Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

Sid to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026 - Lemmy.zip
>Former WWE Champion “Sycho” Sid Eudy will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame
as a legacy inductee and a member of the Class of 2026. > >A former two-time WWE
Champion, Sid was one of the most imposing and terrifying competitors of his
generation whose natural charisma popped off the screen every Monday night. >
>After a successful stint in WCW, Sid debuted as Sid Justice in WWE and served
as the Special Guest Referee at SummerSlam 1991 where WWE Champion Hulk Hogan
and The Ultimate Warrior teamed up against The Triangle of Terror in a 3-on-2
Handicap Match. > >Later that same night, Sid saved Randy Savage and Miss
Elizabeth from an attack at the evil hands of Jake Roberts and The Undertaker at
the couple’s iconic newlywed reception. > >After a few years away from WWE, Sid
made his triumphant return to WWE as “Sycho Sid,” where he allied himself with
Shawn Michaels and was in his corner at WrestleMania XI when The Heartbreak Kid
challenged Diesel for the WWE Title. > >That night would begin an iconic rivalry
between the two with Sid winning the WWE Championship from The Showstopper at
Survivor Series in 1996, joining the hallowed ranks of champions. After losing
the title back to Michaels, Sid became a two-time champion by defeating Bret
Hart on the Feb. 17, 1997 edition of Raw. > >Established as one of the biggest
and baddest wrestlers in the world, Sid returned to WCW in 1999 and immediately
entered the main event scene, battling legends like Hulk Hogan, Sting, Goldberg,
Booker T and many more. > >An injury in 2001 threatened Sid’s career, but he
refused to stay on the sidelines and returned to the independent wrestling scene
with his return match even featuring current WWE Superstar Sami Zayn. > >Sid
passed away in 2024, but his influence is still seen in wrestling rings across
the world. > >Known as “The Master and Ruler of the World”, Sid’s reputation as
one of the toughest and most visually captivating Superstars cemented his legacy
in WWE, and he will now take his rightful place amongst his fellow legends in
the WWE Hall of Fame.

Toni Storm’s extended absence not due to an injury - Lemmy.zip
>Toni Storm’s sudden departure from AEW storylines last Wednesday was not due to
an injury, according to our Dave Meltzer. > >As was previously reported by our
Bryan Alvarez, the former AEW Women’s World Champion is expected to be out of
action for “a long time” but it’s remains unclear as to why. After last Sunday’s
Revolution, she was set to rematch Marina Shafir in Fresno, California, this
past Wednesday but was pulled at the last minute as she was not cleared to
wrestle. > >On Sunday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer said what Storm is
dealing with is “not an injury or anything like that” and that AEW found out
whatever they found out on Wednesday after being under the impression as late as
Wednesday morning that they were proceeding as planned. > >“On Wednesday, she is
there. She is set up to wrestle in this match and they had to do this emergency
angle to take her out and put Mina Shirakawa in,” Meltzer said. > >Shirakawa
took Storm’s place against Shafir in the previously announced no holds barred
match and picked up an upset win. She will now challenge reigning champion
Thekla on this Wednesday’s Dynamite. > >Fightful Select reported this past week
that AEW is prepared for Storm “to not be cleared to wrestle through 2026 at a
minimum.” > >In a clip that aired on social media just prior to Dynamite and
then during the broadcast, Storm was shown laid out in a pool of blood with
Shirakawa and Luther attending to her. Fightful also noted AEW has plans for the
mystery attacker storyline as there were various “Easter eggs” in the room Storm
was laid out in.

PWInsider reports Orange Crush, headed by Adam Abdalla, is currently assembling
private funding to purchase TrillerTV. > >Abdalla is the head of the NYC public
relations powerhouse Cultural Counsel. Fans in wrestling may know him best as
the former head booker of Jersey Championship Wrestling. He recently exited JCW
to launch PRODUCE, a new wrestling promotion. > >According to the report,
“Abdalla’s plan for TrillerTV is to bring music videos back to the forefront by
incorporating them, along with movies, onto the platform to augment the combat
sports component.” > >Triller, formerly known as FITE, has had financial issues
and was delisted from NASDAQ in January 2026. The company has failed to file
mandatory annual and quarterly financial reports. > >Triller is the home to many
independent wrestling promotions, including GCW and HOG. The platform has also
carried AEW, NJPW, and TNA in the past. > >Abdalla recently launched GameTime
Sessions, the first-ever museum-led culture and sports conference at the opening
of the largest traveling contemporary art and sports exhibit in the United
States and Sunset Flip, which features the artwork of AEW Women’s Champion
Thekla and ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty, currently exhibited at the Pérez Art
Museum in Miami.
