Spreading Light with 1GEN ✨

This Diwali, our Spread the Light (STL) campaign, #HappyHappyDiwali, touched hearts through:

🎉 Diwali Mela for orphaned kids.
👁️ Empower Vision: Eye care & eye donation awareness.
🪔 Umeed Ka Diya: Celebrations with seniors.
Together, we raised ₹1,01,000 and proved that small acts of kindness create a ripple effect. Let’s keep spreading light and love!

On November 9-10, we observe the 86th anniversary of the Night of Broken Glass. Yad Vashem and the Kibbutz Religious Movement have launched the #SpreadtheLight initiative.

On Sunday night, 10 November, leave the lights on overnight as a symbol of the enduring Jewish spirit & in memory of those whose lives were shattered.

💡There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.
As a candle, radiate the light within you illuminating the world with love, kindness, and faith. Jesus is our candle. 🔦

Every year I look for a better #latke hack.

This year I found a suggestion to parbake a latke slice and then finish off by frying.

Definitely less time consuming 👩‍🍳 But one ends up with square latkes...

Another tip: have both finely grated and coarsely grated potato, ie different textures. (Yes, I ended up with chunks as well.)
