It looks like HB 1561 to allow all localities in Virginia to tax land higher than buildings or #SplitRateTax has been tabled in committee. It could be brought back up but the chances are slim now #VALeg

This bill streamlines the tax powers granted to localities (yes, even for you Poquoson), permitting many #housing and #transit problems to be addressed statewide, something I have been working on for many years now. #LandTax #SplitRateTax #TaxReform
