VrtxdDo we have any examples of aircraft that could accelerate to or near flying speed on the ground, with magnets/maglev, circular accelerator spinners or something? I know #SpinLaunch tries to slingshot stuff to space, but is there anything for atmospheric flight? I'm not an engineer, so maybe I'm just missing crucials or keywords. It just feels weird using all that jet fuel for terrestrial acceleration.
