Japanese researchers Kazutaka Kurihara and Koji Tsukada have created the SpeechJammer, a portable device that can stop someone from talking up to 30 meters away. The device works by recording the speech and playing it back with a 0.2-second delay, disrupting the speaker’s brain function to continue talking.
