Whilst listening to Defector and reading the inner sleeve like we all used to do, before things like the internet and wikipedia were available. I thought I'd look and see if I could find the musicians that played with Steve Hackett on that album and it's predecessor Spectral Mornings. Nick Magnus, John Hackett, Pete Hicks, John Shearer and Dik Cadbury are all still around it seems. Only the producer John Acock has sadly passed.

#SteveHackett #spectralmornings #vinyl #np This is an album that passed me by in 1979 being to in thrall to post punk rock. Seeing him a few years ago playing this I entirety was mind blowing. It’s the kind of #prog that ticks boxes for me. Strong songwriting, melodic guitar playing to the fore, complex structures and all round quality musicianship. Everyday and Spectral Mornings bookend a stellar album 9/10
