As an interesting sidenote, I'm pretty sure that every single time Ripley is consuming liquid in Aliens, it is coffee. Pay attention, would-be space heroes!

(I'll rewatch again sometime to be sure it's 100% of her liquid intake.)

I did confirm (by reading the movie script) that the scenes of the conference room and Ripley's apartment take place on the "Gateway Station" that sits in geosynchronous orbit with Earth. So it is indeed space coffee!

In Aliens(1986), where is Ripley before she agrees to go back to LV-426?

When she's still in the hospital, the view suggests she's in orbit. But some significant but unspecified amount of time passes between that, her meeting with the company, and the scene where she is in her apartment.

Trying to figure out if this counts as #SpaceCoffee or not. ​

I did some more Very Important #SpaceCoffee research today by giving Event Horizon(1997) another viewing.

It's definitely my current leader for the most movie screentime for spacecoffee. They talk about it a couple of times, and there's an exposition shot that focuses on it center frame.

I did just see Galaxy Quest(1999) pop up on my timelines, so I'm making a note to view it for any spacecoffee appearances.

I had a couple of suggestions to check out Silent Running(1972).

Indeed, there is a scene where the crew is having breakfast together and they are almost certainly drinking Space Coffee.
