The ending of #HibikeEuphonium was nice. There were a few surprises in the last season, and overall the story was really good at handling complex believable characters and group dynamics. I often found myself wondering what would be the best course of action for Kumiko as the club leader, and usually unsure about it. I would have liked some surprises with an actual sapphic relationship but I already didn’t expect it so I’m not exactly disappointed…
Overall, the three school years in 3 seasons make for a rounded experience and I often get that I should rewatch it from the beginning again.

Kyoto animation continues to put so much fantastic work into Sound Euphonium. Episode 10 had some great scenes with Kumiko- sure she's just sitting on a train. Sure, she's just running across a bridge. The love and attention given to these subtle moments really hit home her frustrations of how the band's preparation for the upcoming competition is weighing on her mind. It's hard to think of another studio that could put this kind of character work into a weekly show.
