Fabfilter pro-q4 does soothe2 now, but is it enough?

After a somewhat fraught re-introduction of iLok into my music setup for the sole reason that I want to use #Oeksound #Soothe2 (sigh) I've resumed mixing my current track. I have to admit that despite the setup difficulties, Soothe2 appears already to have worked wonders in my mix.
Experimenting with #bitwig, trying to patch #soothe2 type functions with the loud split spectral tool. What I tried - put eqs before and after loud split, boost the frequency you want to 'soothe' before the loud split so that only that freq peaks into the 'loud' section, then attenuate by the same amount after. On the loud split, turn down or mute the loud section and dial in the effect with attack and release.

Soothe 2, if you got frequency resonances troubling you then this plugin really does help do a great job in effectively dealing with them. Highly recommended after owning it a while now. Though do keep in mind It's not a cheap plugin and there are others that do similar.
