#BandsInTown, #SongKick, #Spotify, etc. all need some kind of "don't tell me about performances at " (or better ) option.

Even if I liked a given act, telling me about a performance in some random city (that I haven't previously expressed a desire or willingness to travel to) is the opposite of helpful.

Am I the only one who thinks #Songkick is slowly becoming useless? It has notified me of new dates for Air when they were already sold out for three times now! #concert #music

Turns out I missed them by SIX DAYS.

It's kind of funny: the other day, I was streaming some #EDM on #Spotify, when my wife asks, "is that Oliver Heldens?" It wasn't but it was thematically similar. At any rate, the "funny" part is that, this morning I got an email from #SongKick saying that Oliver Heldens had announced a local show for January. I mean, I'd prefer if he were playing as HI-LO, again, but, this still ought to be a great show (music-wise; being at #Echostage, there's a good chance it will be too packed to move).

One alternative I've found is #ConcertArchives, which offers functionality to import your gig history from #Songkick, and provides a lot of interesting statistics. Alas, there is no API, but you can export your data as CSV. My profile is https://www.concertarchives.org/whatisbetter

It's going to be time-consuming, given the Songkick API isn't an option these days, though I am looking forward to the trip down memory lane.
