Solidarity Budget 2024 Volunteer Orientation

Are you interested in volunteering with the Solidarity Budget? If so, please complete the form below and join us on Thursday, September 14 at 6pm on zoom for an orientation meeting. At the orientation, you will learn more about the overall Solidarity Budget strategy for this budget season and about the different teams you can join. Below is a brief description of each team. We look forward to meeting you and working with to win ALL our demands for the 2023 Budget. You can check out our demands on our website here - Teams will include the following: Art & Communications Team (Political Education) - Create social media posts, press releases, and other communications about Solidarity Budget Council Team - Meet with councilmembers about Solidarity Budget and help others setup meetings & prepare for meetings with councilmembers Action Team - Organize direct actions focused on the budget Budget Analysis team - Review the Mayor’s proposed budget and Council’s proposed amendments to see how they align with our demands Endorsements Team - Outreach to organizations and individuals about endorsing the Solidarity Budget’s demands Event Planning Team - Organize and plan events to provide education around the budget process and Solidarity Budget Public Comment Team - Take advantage of public comment opportunities to express support for Solidarity Budget Something else - Have an idea that doesn’t fall into one of these categories?
