The ACT Bar Council dismisses 10 complaints made about former ACT director of public prosecutions Shane Drumgold during his prosecution of former Liberal staffer Bruce Lehrmann over the alleged rape of Brittany Higgins.
Unless the #Australian #Judges' Collective (The Judicial Conference of Australia) moves against Sofranoff, Defendants all may as well try out an 'apprehension of bias' defense in every single case.
Individual judges might try to save themselves by coming out of their robe closets to denounce Sofranoff and News Corp - but mostly they prefer anonymity - fair enough. Their Union Reps will have to do the dirty work.
As a breed, Judges are looking badly wounded right now. They can only solve the problem by acting rapidly and effectively. Waiting for Parliament to act for them only cements the idea that the #judiciary is too #corrupt.
