Today Reddit fed me a new sub, r/refrigeration, and I discovered that when it's -30 F., techs sometimes *put space heaters in outdoor coolers* to keep the contents from freezing.
Also that if the temp control in an outdoor soda machine fails, the sodas freeze and explode, turning the machine into a giant Popsicle until spring.
