Got the seat by the emergency exit i.e. the only non priority seat on the bus with decent legroom.

Seriously, more widely spaced seats don’t cost fares income when the bus is never full (& if buying new should lower cost?) and make for a much more comfortable & attractive customer experience so will lead to fuller buses. Not just because of the maths of therefore having fewer seats. Put that in your BSIP and smoke it.
