I've been playing around with these "knot isolations" lately. The idea is that you put a magic knot (a temporary knot) in the middle of your string and use it to create interesting movements of your yo-yo. One of the yo-yo styles of that I'm enjoying lately is called Responsive Freehand. It's actually the combination of two styles of play; Modern Responsive (or 0A) and Counterweight (or 5A). So it combines modern responsive moves like stalls and regenerations with the added twist of having a counterweight at the end of the string.
