The conversation covered the state of the band, what folks have to look forward to at the Sylvee show, and the beauty of building a relationship with your live music audience. In between the excerpts from the conversation were two hours of the String Cheese Incident getting to it in the city of Madison, from their first appearance at the Rathskellar in 1997 to their last stop at the Orpheum in 2017.

In our first hour, I intercut my conversation with Marco Benevento with selections from his live music catalog, including an influence-revealing "US Blues >Papa Was A Rascal >Bach: Invention No, 4 in D Minor" from All Good In the Woods, after opening with an "At The Show" and "Dropkick" from a 2019 Seattle show.
In the second hour, we got our workout on. I share Adam Deitch's insights of being raised by and promoting the funk with Lettuce played alongside tasty live tracks from Lettuce, including song debuts at the Northlands Music Festival in 2011 to a "Requiem>Get Greasy" from a Turner Hall Ballroom show in Milwaukee from 2019.
