For those who use ShutUp10 (or don't yet), be sure to download the latest version. It's still free.
Not only will ShutUp10 disable the main Copilot program in Windows, but now it can remove the additional Copilot components that Microsoft keeps pushing on users. Of course it also lets you disable a bunch of unwanted features. I consider ShutUp10 essential for any Windows PC.
It's not as good as switching to Linux, but it helps keep unwanted intrusions to a minimum. #ShutUp10
Someone recently claimed that ShutUp10! doesn't block the Recall "feature", but I didn't think that was correct.
Verified that it does indeed let you block it along with CoPilot and all the usual nonsense. I'd imagine newer versions of SU10 will deal with the latest release in the near future. #ShutUp10

I remember when people had to #fixubuntu and that already was absurd, but apparently #Windows - Fanboys have a way higher tolerance for being abused and shafted than #Linux and espechally #BSD users...
I'd rather invest the time and effort to migrate someone manually and help them get started easily...
As a reminder, if you're a Windows user concerned about your privacy, you really should be running ShutUp10. I've been using it for years. You can accept the default recommendations or customize them to your liking.
It's free and does a lot to safeguard your privacy and eliminate annoyances. Despite the name, it also works very well for Windows 11. #ShutUp10

Ich habe auch mit #LinuxMint wesentlich geringeren "Betreuungs"aufwand. Während bei W10 desöfteren Pro-Versionen gekauft werden wollen, Einstellungen nach Updates wieder rekonstruiert werden müssen (#shutup10) usw., laufen bei Mint alle Standards reibungslos. Was evtl. aufwendiger ist, ist vorab Druckertreiber einzurichten, aber damit haben die Nutzer*innen ja dann nichts mehr zu tun.
