Back in my early 20s, I didn't connect with a lot of het ships. Maybe it was the lack of any good ones at the time, maybe I was just really sick of constant queerphobia in the media of the late 00's - early '10s, but that was also when I first watched Voyager and absolutely fell in love with Janeway and Chakotay's chemistry!
