I've been pondering whether proprioception has any effect on how drivers react to cyclists. In order to successfully manoeuvre a vehicle without collision, you need to learn where its boundaries are. Is this tool use programmed into muscle memory in a way that extends the sense of personal space such that having the boundary touched makes it feel like an unwanted invasion?
