Not everyone I work with is computer-design literate. But a lot of them can draw. And I too like to trace objects quite often before modeling (photograph w/ ruler then dropping in).

I backed #Shapertools Trace because I think it can help speed my work (and those I work with) from idea to fabrication. We will find out!
