The Brisbane City Council have removed the Palestinian flag (painted next to the First Nations flag) at the corner of Boundary Street and Vulture Street in West End, Meanjin (Brisbane) because it is "offensive graffitti". The First Nations flag has been there for many years.After backing down on the 13th of December, when faced with over 200 residents defending the flag, the Council proceeded to remove the flag in the early hours in the following week. The flag is now back in position next to the First Nations flag and reflects our shared struggle against racism and colonialism. Removal of the flag is an outrageous move by the Council and future removal can be stopped immediately at the word of the Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner.
