In The #SemWare Editor, Paste was Grey*.¹ PasteOver was Ctrl+Grey*. Both were independent of the current insert/overwrite mode of the editor. To this day, I sometimes hit those keys, which don't do that in Kate text editor, and can't be fully configured to.

I also sometimes Ctrl+V Paste when not in insert mode expecting the text to be inserted, and it just overwrites. ‹sigh› #CopyPaste
